Integrations

Google Calendar appointments

Connect an approved Google Calendar so the receptionist can check availability and create confirmed appointments during a call.

What the integration does

When a workspace connects Google Calendar, the receptionist can check availability before offering a slot and create a confirmed appointment after the caller agrees. The event remains visible in the connected Google Calendar and on the Aholler call record.

For Google Calendar, the receptionist can also find a caller-owned appointment, then reschedule or cancel it during the live call only after reading back the exact time and receiving an explicit confirmation.

Permissions and customer control

Immediately before Google authorization, Aholler explains the requested access. The OAuth flow requests openid and email to identify the authorized account, calendar.events.freebusy to check availability, and calendar.events to create, update, or cancel only the calendar events required for an explicitly confirmed appointment action.

A user grants access directly in Google and can disconnect the integration in Aholler. Disconnecting stops Aholler from making future calendar requests; it does not silently remove existing Google Calendar events.

Google Workspace API data use

Google Calendar data is used only to provide the connected workspace's appointment workflow: availability checks, confirmed booking, an explicitly confirmed reschedule or cancellation, and the workspace's appointment record. Aholler does not use Google Calendar data for advertising or unrelated profiling.

Aholler's use of information received from Google Workspace APIs will adhere to the Google User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Before going live

  • Choose the business calendar intentionally and test availability with a real test event.
  • Confirm the agent only offers slots after checking availability.
  • Review the event title, attendee/contact details, timezone, and cancellation wording used by the business.
  • Make sure the business owns the calendar and has authority to create events for its customers.
